The Aviemore church plant is a project led by Erik and Emma Thomson who live and work in Aviemore. They are working with church leaders of different denominations across Scotland together with the FIEC to coordinate a new church planting initiative. The new church plant will be a member of the FIEC network of churches and adhere to an evangelical doctrinal basis.

Erik and Emma Thomson spent 15 years as missionaries with OMF in Mongolia, church planting and Bible teaching in a Bible college in Ulaanbaatar. Since coming back to the UK in 2011 they have run an International Language Cafe at Charlotte Chapel in Edinburgh along with a ‘missional business’ English language school.

They moved to Aviemore in July 2016 and run a Guest House in the centre of the town. They quickly saw the great need for a new gospel church in the town and that has been their prayer. They are able to provide a spacious meeting room for the initial stages of a church plant. Erik and Emma will provide a key supportive role in supporting the new church.
